Privacy policy

What this site does, and does not do, with your data.

Last updated 2026-11-02.

Who is responsible for your data

AboutFootball, 18 Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, Kyiv, 02000, Ukraine. Privacy contact: [email protected].

What this site does with your data

About Football has no accounts, comment sections, forms or newsletter sign-up, and uses no advertising or social-media tracking tools. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which stories are read; if you reject or do not choose, nothing is loaded from Google. Apart from remembering your choice in your browser, our own pages do not set cookies.

Technical data processed to deliver pages

The site is delivered by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes your IP address and request details (the page requested, the time and your browser type) to deliver pages, keep the service secure and prevent abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy notice.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to measure how the site is used: pages viewed, how long and how far stories are read, which guides and fixtures are opened, and general device, browser and approximate location information. We do not send names, email addresses or anything you type. Our lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We keep Google Signals, advertising personalisation and advertising storage switched off. Google may process this data outside the United Kingdom; see Google’s privacy policy. Event data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics property.

Withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the site works the same either way. See the cookie policy.

Content loaded from other websites

Some pages load content directly from other organisations’ servers, which means your browser contacts them and they can see your IP address and browser details:

  • upload.wikimedia.org: photographs from Wikimedia Commons shown on story and competition pages. Privacy policy
  • thumb.wikimedia.org: resized versions of the same Wikimedia Commons photographs. Privacy policy

Links to news sources, data providers and other sites take you to their services, which have their own privacy practices.

If you write to us

If you email us, we use your message and address to read and reply to you, and to keep a record of corrections or complaints. We do not add you to a mailing list. We operate from Ukraine, so a message you send us is received and stored there.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask whether we hold personal data about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, and ask for a copy. Use the contact in this notice. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and similar technologies

What we use, why, and how to change your choice is set out in the cookie policy. Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept or withdraw.
